About the studio

Why this
exists.

Studio Sünshine is a tiny independent app studio making small digital products for real life.

The story

Studio Sünshine started with a simple obsession: making things easier with technology.

Not necessarily huge things. Sometimes it's a business that needs a better way to keep track of stock. Sometimes it's someone trying to save money. Sometimes it's a person looking for something fun to do. Sometimes it's a founder wondering whether their app idea is actually worth building.

Those little problems are interesting to me. They're where technology stops being impressive and starts being useful.

So I started building.

Why small?
🧩

Small problems matter.

Not every problem needs a giant platform. Sometimes a focused little tool is exactly enough.

⚡

Small means movement.

Smaller products can be built, tested, changed and shipped without months of planning.

🧪

Small makes experiments possible.

I can try an idea, put it into the world and find out what happens instead of guessing forever.

☀️

Small can still be delightful.

Useful doesn't have to mean boring. I like products that do their job and make you smile.

Behind Studio Sünshine

I'm Buyi. I make things because I keep thinking, “Wait… I can build that.”

I'm an applied AI developer, builder and lifelong problem-solver based in South Africa. I came back to technology after years away from software and discovered that AI had changed the game. What once required a whole technical team could suddenly be explored by one curious person with a laptop, a phone and a lot of questions.

I'm still learning. That's part of the point. Studio Sünshine is where I get to experiment in public, build useful things, break things, fix things and see what actually sticks.

AI made building
easier.

It didn't make choosing what to build any easier. That's the interesting part.

So I'm less interested in building the biggest thing and more interested in finding the right little thing — building it quickly, putting it in people's hands and learning from what happens.

Curious about the process?
